Sport multihull sail Quantum Sails FUSION M
For those who demand the very best sail shape possible in a genoa designed for furling. Design focus is on durability, performance, extended range, versatility, and control in breeze. Composite materials are used in the same tri radial construction (not a simplified version) usually found only in the most sophisticated racing genoas. Initial performance is comparable to that of pure racing genoas, combined with a dramatically improved long term shape-life and partial furling capability by comparison to cross cut configurations. Structural durability is absolutely not compromised.
Composites of polyester, Pentex®, Spectra®, Vectran®, or other high modulus materials are used for exceptional shape-holding. Shaping is custom tailored for expected usage, but typically features a smooth, flat aerodynamic profile for optimum upwind performance, with an open trailing edge to reduce heeling and weather helm. The shape allows sailing into a higher range of wind conditions before reefing becomes necessary. Overall shaping is also designed to improve partially furled performance. Panel layout and materials limit stretch to minimize heel and help maintain control in breeze.
Quantum Cruising Composite genoas are built to take on the most ambitious sailing plans with ultra wide horizontal seams joined with a combination of adhesives and triple-throw stitching, oversized tear-drop shaped corner reinforcements, and extended reef patching for partial furling. Every construction detail is executed to the highest possible standards. No expense is spared.
Sails include telltales, draft stripes, UV protection, spreader patches, leech and foot lines, sailbag.
