RAIN-O-MATIC METEOROLOGICAL is a self emptying and frostproof rain gauge.

RAIN-O-MATIC METEOROLOGICAL consists of an outdoor rain collector, ready for connection to a counter, data logger or computer.

It is possible to collect the rain for a check weighing.

The basic idea in RAIN-O-MATIC METEOROLOGICAL is the rain collector’s measuring spoon being automatically tipped and emptied when the pre-adjusted water weight has been reached.

The spoon is fitted with a magnet being kept in position by an anchor. This implies that the spoon is emptied by a quick tip returning immediately to initial position for collection of a new portion of water.

The tipping spoon and it’s magnet controlled suspension is designed in a way which makes the measuring accurate even if the rain collector should not be exactly horizontally mounted.

The collector can be supplied with pylon, stabilizing cross and earth spear. Stabilizing cross and earth spear measure 63 cm. Tube length between collector and stabilizing cross can be supplied in requested lengths.
