Bruno Abbate has realized a 7.45 m hull for the Italian Red Cross, the G25 hydroambulance,equipped with two 135 hp Mercruise fuel injection inboard engines and able to push up to a maximum speed of 40 mph. Thanks to the extraordinary qualities of its bottom, designed by Bruno Abbate, one person on a spinal stretcher can be moved, while properly placed for cardio-pulmonary reanimation, in short times and in a linear and uniform way, with remarkable advantages when compared to the on-road transport. For embark and disembark of stretcher and paramedics, a spacious stern platform has been designed.
