The Mega-Guard Fire Alarm System (FAS) monitors four different fire zones on the vessel in compliance with EN54-2 and type approval by class societies. The fire detection sensors of each zone are connected in a loop and the wiring is connected to the backside of the Mega-Guard Fire Alarm System. The Fire Alarm System supports up to 32 standard fire detection sensors in a single loop: ● Smoke detector ● Heat detector ● Flame detector ● Manual call point The Mega-Guard FAS is connected to the main supply and to the back-up supply for automatic change over in case of failure of supply voltage. The Mega-Guard Fire Alarm System is equipped with the following outputs: ● 24VDC for Siren; activated in case of Fire and Fault alarm; this output is monitored on wire break. ● Delayed fire alarm contact; activated in case the Stop Horn pushbutton on the front is not pressed within 2 minutes. ● NMEA output for VDR. ● Fail contact; activated in case of failure
