This professional knife switch is designed to ensure total safety for the diver during welding and cutting operations underwater by being fitted in the current circuit. The Pommec knife switch is a double-pole switch that interrupts the current cable as well as the mass cable, thus enabling the diver to change his electrodes safely.
The Pommec knife switch is made of massive copper, size 50 x 5 mm. The bottom plate is made of celeron, with a thickness of 25 mm. This prevents any contact with, for instance, the steel deck of a ship or drilling platform. The handle is made of nylon.

The Pommec knife switch can be used with current strengths of up to 600 amp. It can also be supplied in a fully isolated version. Cable lugs with eyes of 10 or 12 mm can be connected to the knife switch, after which it is ready to use.
