Tugboat Peene Werft
Bollard pull : 311 kN
Based on a design made by Peene-Werft Wolgast the shipyard executed the order of the Bugsier-, Reederei und Bergungsgesellschaft mbH, Hamburg, for the construction and delivery of two sea-harbour-assistance tugs with a bollard pull of 30 t. The tugs were designed according to the widely proved concept of a 3-men-tug-boat with Voith-Schneider propeller. Special requirements of the shipping company like area of operation "Restr. Int. Service", increased deadweight and iceclass E1 are going partly beyond the former design criteria for a sea-harbour-assistance tug. Two Dieselengines type DEUTZ MWM SBV 6 M 628 with an output of 1,125 kW at 900 rpm, each in connection with two Voith-Schneider propellers type 26 GII/165 ensure a max. bollard pull of 311 kN. Further essential characteristics of the tug-boat are:
- outstanding manoeuvrability
- modern wheel house for the one-man operation with an excellent allround view
- reliable remote - control led propulsion plants and deck-winches, easy to operate, ensure the towing over the stern (pull of the winch l5OkN) and over the bow (nominal pull of the reinforced anchor winch 68 kN)
- high living standard for max. six crew members in four comfortably fitted living rooms.
