The length of the spinnaker pole for a boat of cruising corresponds to the length "J": mast foot with the stem.
The boats measured in IRC use the formula: 0.456 X √ ‾ SPA. = overall length of the spinnaker pole on the chechmate. (SPA = surface IRC of the spi on the letter of gauge)
