OUTSIDER SAILS
Regarded a long time as a sail reserved for the sailboats of performances like the 60 oceanic feet, the large lathed sail is now a product completely adapted to cruising.
The advantages are numerous: absence of faseillement at the time of the manœ uvres and of the catches of laugh, facilitated arrangement, increased performances. However, the correct operation of this sail requires a deck fitting of excellent quality. Indeed, the maintenance of each batten generates a compression on the back face of the mast. It is thus necessary to equip the sail with a system of articulation and case making the connection between guindant of the sail and the chechmate.
In order to guarantee best possible operation, we selected various systems of "cases of battens" adapted to the majority of the marks of mast. According to the surface of your sail, the type of chechmate, we exclusively propose to you systems of cases of the type Rutgerson or Bainbridge. These mechanisms are bolted in a special reinforcement and make it possible to regulate the tension of the batten.
