With this system you can solve once and for all the problems when launching or landing. With an easy flick of the wrist the kick-up mechanism will automatically lock the rudderblade at the top or bottom position. The blade will automatically kick-up when it hits an under water obstacle. The rudderbox is made of non-corrosive composite materials. The pintles of the rudderbox can be adjusted to be adapted to any Optimist. Kick up rudder system is available with a varnished wooden blade or a laminated polyester blade including tiller, but without tiller extension.
