ONJ has built and launched a large number of these Launches 650 since 1992. Its no-nonsense character derives from its lifeboat roots. A few key parts of the cockpit layout were changed for private use of the boat. For instance, the benches around the engine are split in order to improve the passage. Originally intended for buoyancy, the benches are now used as storage space, as is the space below the fore and aft decks. The propeller was placed deeper to prevent sudden movements.
