After the debut season on the market, the Natural has already become one of the most innovative decks on the market. The legacy it has created only continues for 2007.
When designing this deck, our engineers sat down and worked the details out with Daniel Watkins. He wanted the board for boats to have similar features to his last board, the Player. We pushed the limits with the already successful Player to create the Natural. For starters the molded fins were narrowed and/ or shortened to create less drag and let this deck build as much speed as possible. However this did not quite create the speed Daniel was looking for, so the chevron notches were introduced to the bottom of the board. Used in competition race boats for years, the chevrons help break water off the tail of the board making it ride higher and faster in the water. This gives you a 3-stage rocker board that adds many characteristics of a continuous rocker board, making it nearly compatible with any style of rider. The rails were fully rolled all the way up through and to the cupped rails, making the deck roll onto edge smoother for a more natural feeling. It also made the board more durable to sliders and kickers. Daniel loved the ultra smooth landings of the Player so we kept the same double concave in the middle of the board.
