THE LAST SELF-PROPELLED TANKER BUILT

The Basiluzzo M. is a self-propelled tanker built for the Company "Augusta Due".
It was designed to transport petrol and IMO II dangerous chemical products (excluding boiling products and propylene oxide).
The vessel has a dual hull, a bridge, structures and engine at the stern, twelve loading tanks (two of which with a slop tank function) in painted steel and one recovery tank, five corrugated transversal bulkheads and a longitudinal bulkhead in the loading area, full double bottom and double sides in correspondence with the loading tanks: it also has, a slim bow, a mirrored stern, a propulsion propeller with adjustable blades, two manoeuvre propellers with adjustable blades (one at the bow and one at the stern).
Each tank has an immersed loading pump with electronic activation and is fitted with an advanced computer system.
