The lifeboat provides a secure and protected means of escape for persons onboard vessels or platforms. The lifeboat is for skid launch by a specific davit. Design and construction fulfil the need for reliable, low maintenance standby and operation.
The GES 18 free fall lifeboat is designed for launch from a hydraulic ramp. This ensures that the boat enters the water a safe distance from the installation, with significant forward motion.
The lifeboat has an maximum capacity of 40 (44) persons. Boarding is through an aft door, with easy access to the seats on eighter side of the central aisle. All seats are rear facing.
All equipment is designed to ensure the lowest possible emmission of sound and to provide good access for service and maintenance.
