A sound-absorbent and acoustic-insulating sandwich board with skins made of Okoumè (Gabon) plywood or any decorative wood, and a core with a light weight rubber with an exceptional ratio of vibration and noise absorption to weight (300 kg/m³ only).
Unique in its field, it has achieved the European patent N° 0411452.
The problem of sound and vibration insulation was brilliantly resolved by the perfection of Isovib. This sandwich introduces a new type of construction technology to meet the particular need of its soft and light core (100 kg/m³). Isovib's properties of sound absorption were tested at the "Istituto Galileo Ferraris" in Turin, which is fully equipped to perform such tests and to certify the results. An important feature is the green line on the graph that shows a high sound-dispersion efficiency (download pdf file).
We suggest the application of Isovib for flooring, non-bearing bulkheads and especially for engine compartment walls.
