The main purpose of the vessel is conducting activities connected with the search
and the rescue of human life at sea under all hydrological and meteorological conditions in the Sea and activities as an auxiliary vessel to combat threads and marine pollution.
The main functions of the vessel are:
- conducting search operations of people and objects at sea,
- evacuation of people from ships, water surface and rescue means and their transport to shelter places in ports,
- medical evacuation,
- providing pre-medical assistance to victims,
-interaction with the SAR helicopters together with transfer of survivors
The hull is entirely made of aluminium, with a single continuous main deck, the forecastle deck, with a flat transom at the stern and closed hangar for the rescue boat.
The ship is propelled by means of the internal combustion engines operating thru gears on three shaft lines with two controllable pitch propellers and one with a fixed pitch.
The steering is provided by two under-hung stern rudders and bow thruster.
The hull is divided onto (6) six watertight compartments. On the forecastle deck there is located two-storey superstructure made of aluminium.
