Stair-in-a-Box Integrated Yacht Stairway
Moving a set of boarding stairs can be a challenge, usually requiring two or more crew to set-up. There is a better way. The Deluxe Tri-Rail Yacht Stair may be built in a "Stair-in-a-Box" configuration. An ideal upgrade for may new-build and refit project. In the Stair-in-a-Box installation a watertight enclosure is installed under each boarding gate. A small manual hinged door provides access and concealment when stowed. Under most circumstances the deployment of the stairway becomes a one-person task. The Stairway is mounted to a traveling-car with a latching device which runs on a set of tracks. The traveling-car incorporates the rotation section providing up to 180-degrees of slew. The stairs work like all other Deluxe Tri-Rail Stairway; the stair treads self-level to the top stair-tread. Unlike most manual stairs, these stairs are totally supported by the transport-car, there is no need to install a standoff to the vessel's hull-side. This simplifies deployment and eliminates the potential for damaging the yacht's paint.

The Deluxe Tri-Rail Stair-in-a-Box is an engineered structure, and in a shallow section height of only 5.5" / 140mm the enclosure fits into most deck sections. The stairway can be built to accommodate most deck-to-dock service heights, and is available in one-step increments from 5-step to 12-step configurations.
