AXTracker et SmartOne are internal battery powered devices and the basis of a " surveillance & tracking " system which transmits the GPS & status information via a Globalstar satellite to a ground station then through internet to our web platform. This is a very reliable cost effectice solution to track mobile assets on or off shore in regions not covered by mobile transmission networks, such as GSM.
Through the asynchronus communication uplink to a Globalstar satellite, the AXTracker or SmartOne trackers transmit messages at pre-determined time intervals or, for the SmartOne, in case of programmed events such as the leaving of a geo-fence or the status change of a sensor . The message is then relayed to the nearest Globalstar ground station, then routed to the DeveryLoc web platform proposed by Movado Solutions.
The devices are compact, flat & robust and are designed to be easily laid down and fixed to flat parts of the mobile asset, being a boat, a floating toy (jet-ski, tender,...), a freight container, a truck, a car or any terrestrial mobile vehicle. They are water-proof (IP67 et IP68) and can be installed on an outdoor part of the mobile assets, even very wet & salty like on the roof of a boat .The trackers are delivered ready to be used with their internal batteries, and no connection to any external apparatus is needed (except if the SmartOne is connected to a sensor). The operational autonomy of the trackers depend on the number of programmed daily positions (from 1 to 24) and ranges from 1 to 7 years.
