BlueTraker 2200: Hybrid (GSM/GPRS and Satellite) tracking system for yachts, operational worldwide.
That very innovative GPS system, all-in-one (200 x 200 x 70 mm, IP 69k) transmits the yacht position to the on-shore server using the most cost effective transmission channel available (GSM/GPRS home or roaming network, or Iridium satellite network).
Thus, when cruising near the cost, one can frequently receive the boat position data, every 15 minutes for example, through the GSM/GPRS network, and accept a less frequent information reception by satellite (every 24, 12, 6, 3 or 1 hour) when the yacht is cruising or transiting off shore for some hours, days or weeks and wherever on our planet.
Some extra information may as well be added to the position data, such as:
- navigation data thanks to the connection to the NMEA or SeaTalk bus;
- various alarms of other equipment to be connected
ans it is as well possible to send telecontrols to the boat from the server.
Discreet (it may be attached to a mast or the yacht superstructure) and having a battery autonomy of several days if the power is cut-off, it may continue sending the position data when the yacht is stolen for instance, allowing an efficient tracking of her...
