Visual simulator of navigation combines simulators of various navigation equipment, like radars, radios, DSC controllers, echo sounders, compasses etc. with visual views from aboard the ship.
All equipment simulators are added as separate modules.

The exercises are designed and changed by the user with an exercise manager. Exercise is a terrain + weather + objects. Terrain is selectable; weather and time of day is specified; objects are active ships, targets, buoys, beacons and lights. Most parameters of exercise objects are configurable, even vehicle dynamics, or light color and flash pattern.

The simulator comes in two versions, for individual users and sea schools.

Versions for individual users are usually standalone (not necessarily), they usually come in a special pack (like radar or VHF radio pack) and are supplied with a set of specialised exercises and theoretical documents to explain underlying theory and rules of use.

Visual simulator for sea schools (networked) is intended to enable the school instructor stage complex navigation exercises and distribute all simulator components over different computers in a local area network in any combination.
