Description

Norwegian Bliss is the eleventh cruise ship constructed by MEYER WERFT for Norwegian Cruise Line. It’s part of the Breakaway Plus Class. All four vessels in this series – Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Encore – are even bigger than their predecessors in the Breakaway Class. They even have an additional passenger deck. All four luxury liners are also 1.7 metres wider than their predecessors, featuring the maximum width that can be constructed at the MEYER WERFT shipyard in Papenburg. The benefits of this additional space are reflected by the balconies, which are 45 centimetres deeper than on Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway. Around 75% of the staterooms are outside cabins – the majority have their own balcony. Other highlights include a spectacular go-kart track, an Aqua Racer waterslide and Freefall waterslides. The luxury liner is designed specifically for Alaskan cruises, which means it also has to meet very stringent environmental requirements. That’s why Norwegian Bliss features cutting-edge emission control systems and eco-friendly engines to generate power. Energy efficiency was the focus of the entire engineering work.
