Above all else, Kelsey Lee is a fishing yacht, with a huge emphasis placed by the owner on marine research and conservation, and with the predominant activity being the satellite tagging of game fish to gather information about their numbers, migratory patterns and habitat. However there is no denying that Kelsey Lee is a beautiful looking vessel, with classic East Coast styling that is not aggressive like some contemporary designs but purposeful and powerful, two adjectives which aptly describe this vessel.
Kelsey Lee is the sistership of two other vessels. The first to be launched had an open flybridge whilst the second had an enclosed pilothouse. Both were fitted with tuna towers and were set up for East Coast style sportfishing. Kelsey Lee on the other hand is set up for West Coast style sportfishing and as such incorporates a number of features not seen on her contemporaries.
Kelsey Lee is a unique yacht that has set new standards in a very traditional culture of sports fishers. Requiring intensive design to allow for both function and form she is the fulfillment of the owner's expectations, and for that we are satisfied and proud.
