Motor-boat : cabin-cruiser McDell Marine PONAM 28
When the Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan undertook detailed research of the worldwide marine leisure market, the high potential of this sector became evident.
They then visited many countries to find a manufacturer who could build a high-performance flybridge cruiser to an exacting set of specifications.
McDell were able to demonstrate that an international design could be built to the highest production and quality standards achievable in the world.
They were impressed by New Zealand's competitive labour costs, strong marine industry infrastructure and the ability to provide proven, world-recognised brand names in fittings and auxiliary systems.
