Fabric impregnator (for boatyards and shipyards)
Matrasur Composites
Liable and precise, impregnation is often used for the transformation of fabrics and fibre complexes of large dimensions for the boat industry, flat panels, or pre manufacturings in the building industry.
This open mould process is a unique technique allowing both important and constant reinforcement rates. Matrasur Composites’ impregnators are defined in 47, 60 90, 127 and 150 cm, and they are available in different configurations: on bridge crane for an in situ lay-up, mobile gantry, semi-gantry, portable and stationary.
Our impregnators can reach outputs of impregnated laminate with glass reinforcement up to 52%, a grammage of 830 g/m² to 1600 g/m², at an impregnation speed of 3 m/minute, which represents an advantage compared to hand lay-up.
Matrasur Composites has developed a significant know-how on this technique, contributing to substantial savings of resin, labour and time and resulting in improved product quality thanks to a uniform wetting and ratio control.
We constantly enlarge our equipment range to fit new and/or specific applications, for each industrial context
