Dispensing with an engine compartment or engine room altogether is now possible with the ultra-modern and robust PodMaster Professional steerable motors. The complete propulsion system is easily installed below your vessel, saving space and weight. The PodMaster Professional is also exceptionally quiet while delivering significant thrust.

The PodMaster Professional motors set themselves apart by a couple of unique features: a complete seawater resistant stainless steel (316) housing, a high efficiency (>95%) and the ability to deliver its power at low rpm's due to its exceptionally high torque. Because of this high torque it can be used with a large propeller (14 to 16 inch). This large propeller inherently brings a better system efficiency with potential improvements of up to 30%!

The design of the motor housing, choice of materials seals and bearing make the PodMaster Professional suitable for professional use and guarantees years of pleasant sailing with minimal service required. The motor that is inside is a oil-cooled, 3-phase AC synchronous motor, using strong permanent magnets. The motor controller that comes with the system is able to control this motor without the need for any sensors, thus making it more robust.
