Wind turbine and solar panel electric pump (freshwater) Marlec Engineering
We have developed probably one the simplest and most efficient wind-pumping systems available. The kit is based on our established Rutland 913 Windcharger that is connected to an electric pump via an interface controller, no battery is required. The controller also accepts power input from solar panels so that a hybrid system may be operated to take full advantage of available power day and night.
The Rutland Wind Pump Kit is designed for pumping water to a depth of 70m at isolated locations in all climates and overcomes many of the problems associated with traditional wind pumps that often need a strong wind to overcome mechanical torque and shut down in relatively low wind speeds.
The Rutland Wind-Electric Pump Kit can be employed to provide potable water for isolated communities, drainage, livestock watering and irrigation on farms.
