Our Orient sloop is made of mahogany specially selected for Makma, but it is also available in teak. However, most of the boats in this series are made of fibreglass. They are built under Dutch supervision and arrive as semi-manufactured vessels at our wharf in Leiden, where the construction tasks are completed. As with our other types of ships, our customers like to keep track of the way their ship is being built. And we at Makma think it’s great when you drop along to see how the work is progressing: “What you see is what you get!” As is the case with all Makma boats, the Orient series has a 5-year guarantee on the submerged parts and 2-year guarantee on the engine.
