Sailboat : cruiser-racer sailing-yacht
HAKA 240
Lerouge yachts
- 23.99m
78' 9"ft
Haka 240's modern hull shape provides exceptional performance to her cruising program.
Such a boat is always customised in her rig, appendages, accommodation, deck-plan and building material to comply with her program requirements.
An extremely shoal-draft is vital for a cruising yacht of that size to reach the most pleasant moorings. A fixed keel is either to deep or inefficient. A centreboard pivoting through a shoal keel is a simple, reliable and efficient solution. Twin rudders give an excellent control in all conditions and allow to dry out without problems.
The rig is extremely efficient with fully battened mainsail, carbon mast and rod rigging, yet easy to handle with double headsails on furlers. A racing rig optimised for IRC is possible.
The accommodation plan is one of the many lay-outs possible in such a volume. It gives plenty of space and privacy with an edge on easy maintenance and efficient use of all the equipment: tender stowage, real engine room, separate steering cockpit from the guests, etc...
An interesting "Owner" lay-out is possible with a superb suite using the total beam of the ship and having separate bathroom and toilets.
