Cruising sailboat (wooden)
HAKA 145BM
Lerouge yachts
- 14.5m
47' 7"ft
Haka 145bm is a voyager able to sail any sea as well as to go into any anchorage. This is an up to date boat specially designed for cold moulded epoxy construction where comfort blends with performance and ease of handling.
Her long waterline gives a good cruising speed and a well-balanced hull.
High ballast ratio and powerful sections will provide adequate stability.
The pivoting NACA section centreboard ensures good windward performance and allows the adjustment of the balance under sails. The twin rudders give perfect control in broaching conditions. Keel and rudder skegs protect the hull and propeller for drying out.
The cutter rig is rugged and extremely easy to handle. Its yankee furls well and the staysail will be extremely useful to beat in rough weather. A large choice of light sails is available to get the best speed in pleasant conditions.
The accommodation plan shown has been designed to the owner's requirements to sleep a crew of 10. This layout with aft saloon and amidships cabin is well suited to a centreboarder and practical offshore as well as in harbours. Many alternative accommodation layouts are possible, especially a 3 cabin version for voyaging with large owner cabin and workshop.
The flush-deck and its central cockpit are extremely strong and easy to build.
The deck plan is perfect for sail handling, sunbathing or to inflate the dinghy while the cockpit is well sheltered. A more conventional layout with aft cockpit is possible.
