First launched in 2008, the vessel showed excellent performance cruising at 37 knots in 2 metre seas and 20 knots of breeze. The key to the vessel's performance, aside from the AIR RIDER hull, is the fact that it has been fitted with 'Jacking Plates' which allow the motors to be raised dynamically.
Coupled to this is the fitting of specialist semi surface piercing propellers which allow the engines to be run at increased height, without being prone to cavitation of the propellers.
