The MZB 62 is an own development of Lehmar GmbH. The MZB 62 is a shorter version of the MZB 72. This multipurpose boat also can be provided with a lateral rescue door. Besides a single or twin outboard engine, also an inboard engine can be installed. The handling is almost identical thanks to the same construction. No MZB 62 has been produced yet, but negotiations were conducted.
The lateral rescue door
The lateral rescue door was designed especially for the MZB. Special reinforcements make the hull sufficiently rigid. When the door is open (60 cm / 2’ wide) the MZB has a freeboard height of only 15 cm / 0.5’. The special shape of the boat in conjunction with its self-drainage system allows the trouble-free salvage of persons from the water. The lateral door is also perfect for divers.
