Catamaran rental - CARIBBEAN ST LUCIA
St. Lucia The paradise, the Caribbean... No other navigational in the world can offer more beauty, the varied colours, and ideal conditions than the small Antilles. Around the Grenadines especially, the waters are perfectly idyllic, providing the perfect sailing adventure and holiday.
Unless you have a whole season at your disposal, it is foolhardy to attempt all the islands in a single cruise. Not only will you not make it, but also you will fail to enjoy the slow, natural and relaxed way of life in these tropical islands. The small Antilles create a circle between Puerto Rico, in the North West and Venezuela in the South.
The islands themselves differ considerably, however they all offer beautiful and sheltered anchorages, palm trees and fine white sandy beaches that lead up to the crystal clear waters. The character of the local people likewise varies from the charming and unspoiled modest Dominican, to the comparatively well to do and world wise French of Martinique.
The Caribbean's sun shines almost constantly, approximately 12 hours a day. The climate is Utopian, the daily temperatures are fairly consistent all year round, with an average temperature of 27oC.There is in fact only a 3o C difference between the warmest and the coldest months of the Year. The time for sailing is all year round, unlike the European seasons, the main difference between summer and winter is the level of rainfall. The period between December-May is the dry season, apart from the odd shower, during the European summer, conditions are still ideal with refreshing rain showers. The Easterly trade winds that blow all year round and rarely exceed force 5, ensure splendid sailing conditions which combined with the many beautiful and uncrowded island anchorages have made the Antilles a sailing paradise for the yacht charterer.
