Designed with the Volvo 70%u2019s and the Cup boats sailing teams, the low friction KBTi blocks are 60 to 70% lighter than any other existing blocks on the market. Improvements in high modulus ropes now allows to use a smaller sheave diameter. We have reduced the size of our blocks to suit the new high tech ropes and minimize weight and size while maintaining a very low friction coefficient : 2 patents pending.
Lashed through the center, the KBTi block provides the same safety features in case of over-loading, as the standard K-Blocks.
