It is important to protect the mast against salt water (once a year). With this in mind, John Mast has developed a professional silicone-based specialised product which cleans, protects and preserves metal surfaces of anodised aluminium and stainless steel.

"Protect your mast" should be particularly applied to the mast groove so that the sail slugs will run more smoothly.

If the mast is really dirty, a plastic scouring pad can be used. Rub carefully along the mast profile and the mast will be as good as new.

The treatment is especially good prior to winter storage (no corrosion during the winter as salt etc. has been cleaned off). The mast then only needs to be rinsed and dried at the start of the next season.

The can contains ¼ litre - enough for 2-4 years' treatment.
