The JXX38 is not as broad as the competitor engine catamarans: with its Master-beam voluntarily limited to 4.44 m the places of port are easier to find and especially cheaper.
By favorable wind, the option veil is assembled in a few minutes: an articulated gantry supports 2 jibs on roller. Once unrolled they can propel the boat up to 5 nodes. We work on the design of a self-stabilizing sail of kite: the gantry will be also used for the sending of this sail which will increase the autonomy of the JXX38 because it will be able to go to seek the strong wind in altitude.
Its moderate width is also in asset by formed sea: indeed its behavior is less abrupt than a catamaran of great width which undergoes the waves in a cahotic way. Where a broad rigid plate has disordered movements and where a monoshell narrow rolls edge on edge, the JXX38' will have an intermediate behavior i.e. it will be at the same time stable and flexible.
Its stems widened and high enable him to pass the sea formed without wetting the crew.
The funds are flat and all the hull is built out of thick aluminum: thanks to the hinged base plates of the Z-drive motorization, it is possible of beacher on a beach the time of a tide.
The JXX38 is a formidable tool for exploration, that they are the splits little known of the coasts of France, the remote fjords or the not very deep lagoons.
Its look of 4x4 sign besides well its character: Effective and robust.
