The IM-SCU-R 'Rugged Scubar' is a more 'professional' version of the standard Scubar system.
The lightweight canvas monitor / battery unit is replaced by a tough Storm case into which the 5.6" colour TFT screen, batteries and internal circuitry are housed. The case itself is fully waterproof and when secured, sealed to IP68.
Built in camera/charger and video output connectors are flush mounted waterproof military grade, and new cables are supplied accordingly.
Like the standard monitor/battery pack, a sun-visor and splash-shield is built into the case, which can be viewed as a neck-worn device or free standing.
The power switch and battery level meter are mounted inside the case to prevent accidental operation and subsequent battery drain. An auto battery-off feature is also built in for this purpose.
Scubar-R systems have facility to incorporate the IM-SCU-DVR digital media recorder which is available separately.
