Floating dock for fishing
QUEEN CHALOTTE
International Marine Floatation Systems Inc.
Built by IMFS for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans in Queen Charlotte City, B.C. This project consisted of 2 Wave Attenuator floats measured 131 ft. long x 15 ft. wide x 8 ft. high and weighted 321 tons when completed.
Concrete has long be recognized throughout the world as the preferred material for marina docks and wave attenuators. It provides mass for stability, rigidity for strength and durability, and is a long term solution in a marine setting. All IMFS floats are manufactured of structurally reinforced concrete according to the engineered load requirements. Full sections are monolithically cast in lengths up to 100 ft. long.
