When connected to an external GPS FOR BOATSreceiver for boat, the position request and position report functions allow you to exchange the ships position information. The received position information can be plotted on navigation marine equipment that has NMEA input. When connected to an external loud marine speaker or hailer, you can make an announcement to crew members on the boat via the hand microphone. The RX speaker function allows you to monitor the radio audio from the loud speaker or hailer.
