Tori line glow SEA-BIRD aimed at reducing the incidental catch of seabirds in longline fisheries. Concept: deter the seabirds to grab the baited hooks by preventing them from accessing it. A number of observations have shown the effectiveness of tori line when used correctly. The pelagic longline fisheries concerned are: tuna, swordfish, billfish in all oceans, fishing for Patagonian toothfish in the Antarctic Ocean, fishing for cod, haddock and ling in the northern hemisphere oceans (Pacific and Atlantic).
