Functionality for polar expeditions, the HUTTING 54 was jointly developed with the client - Michael Haferkamp. He was looking for a yacht that could comfortably handle the roughest of conditions north of Spitsbergen. At the same time this vessel had to ensure pleasant sailing in this same unforgiving environment. Absolute reliability and seaworthiness: Basic for the design of the HUTTING 54 were total reliability for hull and construction, absolute seaworthiness and a shallow draught. And, this yacht had to be handled by a one-man crew.
