HFL's experience in the manufacture, installation and service ofmarine airconditioning equipment has led to the development ofthe unique Océan Cool self contained D.C. air conditioner. Thelatest state-of-the-art unit is based on a hermetically sealedcompressor, which may be powered by 12 or 24 volts directlyfrom the ship's batteries. An oversized condensor. evaporatorand blower allow efficient and quiet air processinq. Via aRhéostat the air speed mav be varied by up to 60%, thusachieving a smooth flo\v of air and gentle air distribution. Theseawater pump can be self priming or centrifugal and requiresinstallation below the seawater line. Two différent models ofpump are available. Control is provided by a semi-digital remotecontrol panel which uses etectronic displays for both set pointand ambient temperature. Altematively, a mechanical two knobcontrol panel can be supplied if preferred.
