It is essential to know the amount of available water per day for its treatment as well as the required water quality for any kind of irrigation where it is going to be used.

In systems where waste heat is used to heat water, evaporators could be applied to desalinate that water. With respect to salt removal, water production process using evaporators obtain water of higher quality than those using reverse osmosis systems.
Any heat source (solar, biomass, diesel thermal power plants, etc) could be used to get the thermal power needed for the evaporation process.
The available residual thermal power and required amount of water will help us to choose the one-stage or multi-stage system we want to install.
