The Green Rescue Laser Flare's® highly visible green laser offers several advantages over conventional pyrotechnic flares. Carry it in your survival gear or attach it to a lifejacket. It uses a long-life laser diode with up to 5,000 hours meantime to failure and can run for 5 hours on an easily replaceable CR123 Lithium Battery. Under optimal nighttime conditions, the laser is visible up to 30 miles (48 km) away. It is effective up to 3 miles away in daytime and can locate reflective material up to one mile (1.6 km) away.
