Research boat Fintry Marine FINTRY one
The "FINTRY" researchboat is an Ocean Runner design in sandwich construction. At a length of 20 meters, this results in a total weight of just over 20 t. Due to the shape of the hulls and the low weight of the boat, the energy requirement is low even at high speed.
The Workboat shows of 27 kn a consumption per engine below 5 ltr/nm.
This NAUTINTEC Catamaran is a "service vehicle" on water. It can be used as a taxi, supply boat or surveying vehicle. The boat has a reinforced underwater hull for making landfall and hatches for drill uprights and sampling devices on the working deck. The light service crane can carry 800 kg.
A cushioned docking system for offshore wind turbines and other fixed installations absorbs impacts when docking in moving water.
The cabin can be converted from a passenger compartment with 12 seats to a laboratory with 2 tables and 6 seats in only a few steps.
Two Volvo engines (295 kW each) drive the Kamewa jets, controlled via a joystick.
The Workboat complies with the regulations of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency MCA Marine Guidance Note regulations (MGN 280M).
