The "FINTRY" Pilot Vessel is lighter and more powerful than the Workboat in order to meet the future requirements of pilots. Nowadays, the transfer of pilots takes place at high speed and often in heavy seas, making a fast, safe and economic transfer boat necessary.
For launching and landing manoeuvres at sea, the boat is equipped with three fixed fenders on each side as well as a new transfer system. The high deck and the railing are heatable. A cabin resting on vibration blocks reduces noise and vibration in the rest room of the pilots.
The Pilot Vessel shows of 27 kn a consumption per engine below 4-5 ltr/nm.
The Pilot Vessel complies with the regulations MCA (MGN 280M).
