It is an all-rounder whose duties include the transport of men, equipment and materials, maintenance of navigation buoys, sounding operations, ice-breaking and many other operations under extreme conditions. Seawater-resistant aluminium reduces the weight of the superstructure, and a radio-controlled hydraulic crane is available to handle work on deck.
