The FS-3DT is a 3D forward looking sonar offering users navigation information out to 1/4 nautical mile (440 meters) ahead of the vessel.

FarSounder's Dual Transmission capabilities were first introduced with the FS-3DT. This capability offers the user the ability to select between a wide field-of-view or an extra long range mode. The system can operate with a 90° field-of-view out to 1000' (330 meters) range, a 60° field-of-view out to 1400' (440 meters) range, or alternate with every ping between these two modes.
