Ready-to-sail Far East Speedster NT "Absolute Beginners"

According to many experienced trainers, getting hit on the head by the main boom when doing an accidental gybe is what puts a lot of children off learning to sail. It is frightening and it hurts. That is why we have developed our special Absolute Beginners model with an upholstered main boom. The main sail also has an additional thimble on the leech, so that the aft of the main boom can be tied up 30 cm higher for the first sailing lessons. This of course means that the sail shape is no longer ideal, but the student’s head is doubly protected.
