The 3D pilot takes the data from your vector charts and creates a 3D view, showing depth and land contours, complete with objects such as buoys, trees and buildings (Note 1). It will also show real-time tidal levels, the view from your vessel and the estimated positions for the sun and moon.3D can only work with vector charts (raster charts do not have the information), so if you are using Livecharts or S57 charts, then these can be used. The 3D view can be displayed at the same time as the 2D view to have a complete picture of where you are and what is around you. To use the 3D option, you must have adequate hardware including a 3D graphics card and the latest graphic card drivers for your system.
