VHF handheld submersible marine radio for ships (ATEX)
HT844 ATIS Entel

Superseding the multi award-winning HT series 1.0 was a challenging task, considering its success with the UK Fire & Rescue Services, major blue-chip organisations, as well as petro-chem and shipping companies worldwide. However, the new HT Series 2.0 marine portables have managed to build upon this success.

The latest Series 2.0 products to be launched is Entel's HT844 ATIS hand portables, for use when navigating inland waterways in mainland Europe. On ATIS models, an FFSK data signal is sent at the end of each transmission, which carries information about the vessel, including a call sign unique to the craft allowing it to be tracked and monitored for safety purposes. The HT844 ATIS models are, in addition, ATEX-certified intrinsically safe radios, conforming to Ex gas groups IIA and IIC, respectively.

Like Entel's other Series 2.0 VHF, UHF and GMDSS marine radios, these commercial grade portables, with their exceptionally loud audio and powerful lithium-Ion batteries ensuring duty cycles of 14 hours from a single charge, are designed to withstand the everyday rigours of marine environments. Their superior MIL-STD 810/C/D/E&F commercial grade construction, together with their unique IP68 submersibility (5 metres depth for 1 hour), make them the most robust and durable marine portables available on the market.
