Permanent booms are robust and hard-wearing with flotation provided by foam filled demi-spheres (35cm) or closed cells (80cm) to provide flexibility in the boom and they have a simple to attach/remove system ensuring easy float maintenance for cleaning or repair.
Permanent booms can contain both hydrocarbons and floating waste.
